Geting Started

The single most significant step in your entire fitness program is that very first step. Call us, email us, or just drop in for a visit, but do it, now. If you call us, come in for a visit, and then decide to try it on your own; that is a good thing, at least you started. You will find that as much as we would like to help you, we want and need you to help yourself even more.

Please call us at 703.442.0748 for an appointment to meet us and visit the studio. Linda, owner and daily operations manager, will discuss your fitness goals and time availabilities before matching you with a trainer whose talents, training, and personality suit you and your goals. You will be spending up to three hours per week with your trainer and we want you to enjoy and benefit from every minute. Linda and your trainer will help you purchase the package that is correct for you and your goals. Three days per week is nice, but not everyone has that much time. It is much better to start off with a realistic, conservative commitment and add to it later.

What's Next

We need to know you a little better. You will complete a health screening form to insure that you are physically ready to start a fitness program and let us know if you have any limitations or physical concerns which might require special attention in your program.

You may want to start with an Assessment. It's not mandatory but it will give you a baseline and give your trainer a better idea of where to start

Your First Sessions

The Future

Your trainer will start with a relatively light workout. The worst possible outcome for everyone is a client who is too sore to attend their next scheduled workout. We will stabilize joints, increase core strength and deliberately move toward the specific goals you have in mind.

Your success is our success. As you gain strength and increase your overall fitness your trainer will raise the bar and perhaps you will need to expand your goals.

We have clients who have trained at STS for over 11 years and clients who attend 5 sessions and decided that they have learned enough to continue on their own. We understand and encourage both. We would like to keep you forever, but quite often those 5 session clients come back to refresh their program and technique and sometimes even to remain with a long term commitment.
